Jul292010iPhone 4 - Static, lines, distortion, CRAPPY stuff in the camera.
***8-29-2010 Updated information after photos****
There's always something with an Apple device right? Always something...
I love the new iPhone4- I pre-ordered and received it all very smoothly, contrary to the experiences of many others it seems.
Everything is smooth, snappy, and very usable and this has been such a huge upgrade from the 3g for me-- except for the camera.
It seems that when I first fire up the Camera App, with the normal camera activated on the back of the handset, my frame is full of crappy blue static / lines / whatever. If I close and open the the App about 20-30 times, it starts to clear up. What.the.hell is that??

Jun252010Busy busy busy!
Not much writing or art-ing done lately; this is just a pulse check :)
I took up Aikido a few weeks ago and have been making a point to attend 4 hours a week. I really think this is something I'll enjoy for decades to come! .. Maybe I can build them a new website someday ;)
Still doing loads of design work for ERGObaby and inching ever closer to wrapping up all the designs for final deployment. This is going to be a good resolution to a long year and a half.

The ramble:
I spent this morning wasting a couple of hours on setting up a facebook comment system here at hryniuk.com, because I noticed that theoatmeal was using this kind of system and I thought that was pretty neat! I got it to work, but found quickly that there was no means for me to moderate my incoming comments and that I would have two separate stacks of comments on the site- meh.. that sucks.

May062010Stereograms? Sure why not.
***Edit: Here's one tiny addition for some automation and quickness of your workflow: Muttyan's website offers a really small and nice little program that takes care of the alignment issues beautifully.
I like kitschy silly things and techniques. Stereograms have always been one of my favorite silly things.
